Topsoil

Topsoil

Garden

Garden Soil is a combination of bio mass compost, mushroom compost, cow manure, coffee sand, coarse sand and charcoal fines for extra drainage. This can be used for raised garden beds, potting mix and is suited for growing vegetables and herbs. Not suited for natives as its too strong but we do have a native blend in stock.

Garden Soil

Native

Compost & Fertiliser

Cow

Cow manure fertilizer makes an excellent growing medium for garden plants. When turned into compost and fed to plants and vegetables, cow manure becomes a nutrient-rich fertilizer. It can be mixed into the soil or used as top dressing.

Cow manure

Mushroom

Mushroom compost can supply nutrients and increase the water-holding capacity of the soil but can be too much of a good thing for seeds, seedlings and young plants. Mushroom compost also increases the water-holding capacity of the soil, which decreases your watering needs. Mushroom compost is suitable for most garden plants.

Mushroom compost

Bio

Bio Mass compost is a composted organic matter. It’s a green waste which has been through processes like heating (which aids in killing weeds, seed, fungi, insects and bacteria) and aeration then maturing. The nutrients produced during composting are used in gardens or landscaping as a natural fertilizer.

Bio Mass compost

Charcoal

Charcoal fines contain fragments, mineral sand and clay picked up from the earth and the surface of the fuelwood and its bark. Charcoal Fines can be added to soil to increase its ability to hold onto plant nutrients and beneficial soil microbes by slowing or reducing the leaching of nutrients by rain or watering. The low density of charcoal lightens heavy soils, which allows better root growth, increasing drainage and allowing air into the soil.

Hardwood Chips

Tea Tree Mulch

Bush

Bush Mulch consists of a variety of different trees mulched up. It is an excellent natural looking mulch that is cheap however it is not white ant resistant.

Bush Mulch

Cypress

Cypress Chip is made from sawmill residue and trimming remnants. This larger honey-coloured chip mulch offers a brighter tone for your garden. Because of the large size of these chips this mulch will take longer to decompose, meaning extended periods between mulch renewals. Cypress chip is termite resistant.
